Bueno, sigo hurgando en la legislacion de armas Polaca ya que el tema me empieza a tocar de cerca, he encontrado las siguienetes cosas interesantes, no lo he traducido porque es un tochazo y no tengo tiempo ahora.
Kinds of Permits, what guns can you get and Justified Cause:1)
Self Defence – For this permit there needs to be a constant, real, and elevated threat to your life, health or property. This would be the equivalent of a concealed carry permit. You are obligated to carry the gun concealed, but you can have the gun ready to use with a loaded chamber. You can only use pistols, revolvers and acoustic firearms for this cause.
2)
Hunting – First you will need a hunting permit from the Polish Hunting Union. Shotguns and rifles only, bolt-action or semi-automatic.
3)
Sport – As a sport shooter you should be a member of a shooting club or association holding an athlete’s license from the Polish Union of Sport Shooting and you need to obtain a Firearms Patent (sort of a firearms driving license). You can get any rimfire up to 6mm calibre (pistol, rifle, revolver you name it), any centerfire up to 12mm calibre (pistol, revolver, rifle), any smoothbore up to 12 gauge.
4)
Historic Reenactment – You need to be a member of a historic reenactment association. For all those war time reenactments. You can have any firearm, also select fire, as long as they have been factory modified to accept blank/acoustic ammunition only.
5)
Collector – For that enormous collection all you need is a membership in a gun collector’s association. Collectors can get any guns they want as long as they are not “Especially Dangerous”.
6)
Souvenir – For all those memorabilia you need a well documented instance of acquiring a firearm through inheritance, donation or distinction. Whatever you got as long as it is not “Especially Dangerous”.
7)
Instructor’s – For this license you need a firearm instructor’s license and you need to work at a registered company dealing in firearms training. You can get any gun you see suitable to teach people.
On top of the requirements listed above, each and every person has to undergo a Psychological and Physical examination to determine if the person is fit to use firearms and does not pose a threat to himself or society.
Extremely Dangerous Firearms:
Some firearms were designated Extremely Dangerous and can only be acquired by companies on a separate permit but never as possession of a private individual. These weapons include:
– Ranged weapons capable of engaging a target at a distance. This is a dead definition as any firearm would fall into this category.
–
Select fire firearms.–
Firearms utilizing suppressors. You can possess a suppressor as a civilian but the moment you put it on your gun you become a felon.
– Firearms disguised as different objects.
– Firearms designed to be difficult to find using detection equipment.
Interesting facts:
– .50 cal is 12.7mm therefore you can not have a .50 cal antimaterial rifle (pero creo que una desert eagle cal 50 AE si , de hecho yo he visto una, ya puse fotos)
for your Sporting permit(puede que con otros permisos si se pueda), but a .338 Lap Mag or a .300 Win Mag is fine.
– Any SMG as long as it is not select fire is considered a pistol, a buttstock does not change anything, no such thing as an SBR in Poland. Same thing with Pistol stocks, a FAB Defence stock for a Glock does not make it anything different from a normal pistol and does not require any additional permit.
– Open carry or carrying a loaded firearm outside of a shooting range without a self defence firearm permit is a felony.
– If they are not assembled and don’t bear the same serial number as the main gun, any barrel, bolt, or gun frame is considered a separate firearm. Therefore buying a second barrel for your pistol would require you to give away one free pistol slot in your permit.
– Only sportsmen and collectors can reload ammunition, and only for their own use.
– Sport shooters with a Firearms Patent do not have to undertake a Police Firearms Exam when they apply for a license.
– 80% of all firearms are registered for Hunting, about 18% for Sport and the rest take up the remaining 2%.
Conclusion:Even though the amount of firearms in the hands of the people is not significant, the last change to the firearms law has been very helpful in giving a green light to a mass arming of the population. Self Defence firearms are rare, but then again Poland has a very low Violent Crime index of just 0.34 per 100,000 people (as a comparison, DC has its at 16 and Chicago at 14 per 100,000 people). All in all, Poland is becoming more and more a green island on the European ocean of firearm restrictions.
