Hello,
I am a guy from Denmark collecting Danish weapons. I have bought a collection with this gun:
Eibar Ano de 1859 - Por Jose Mateo Beistegui
Could someone tell me a bit about this pistol ?
How much would it be worth to a collector ?
(Sorry it is in english - I don't speak spanish)
En Eibar - 1859 - Beistegui
Re: En Eibar - 1859 - Beistegui
Hi. It is very difficult to assess this gun for only two photographs. It depends on the general condition and the condition of barrel.Regards.
Re: En Eibar - 1859 - Beistegui
Hello,
I think the best option is to try to sell it in the Spanish collectors market.
In order to get an idea you can visit this web:
https://www.todocoleccion.net
and try a search with the word "pistola" in the section "armas de fuego de avancarga" (muzzleloading fireguns). I've done so and I've found some Eibar percussion pistols for sale there, take a look:
https://www.todocoleccion.net/buscador.c ... =r&D=t&N=i
But of course the real price will depend on its general condition and many other factors: craftmanship quality, rarity, etc. The barrel looks very good and the fact of being dated and signed adds value to the piece (assuming it's not fake, of course). I hope some of the experts in the forum will give their opinion on this matter.
Good luck!
