We received your message and we thank you.
The aluminum pads we have available for the Stock II are not increasing the magazine capacity so it is 100% legal to use them during I.P.S.C. competitions in Production Division.
We have now available "after market magazine" that holds 2(two) more rounds than the OFM ones.
Best regards

https://www.tanfoglio.itI recently purchased a Stock II pistol for IPSC production class division. Understand Tanfoglio sales pistol with standard magazines in order to keep price as low as possible for the majority of clients, but even with additional cost, we as IPSC customers would like to enhance magazine handling to make it softer during quick reloading. Noted that now Tanfoglio offers an after market magazine aluminum base pad especially for this type of pistol, but the use of this pad will change standard magazine that may be consider no legal for IPSC.
Taken from IPSC rules (extract below) I concluded that this minor change would be acceptable.
20. Aftermarket parts, components and accessories are prohibited, except as follows:
20.1 Aftermarket magazines which match the external dimensions of standard magazines offered by the OFM for the approved handgun are permitted.
Discussion here in Spain with some experienced shooters they have different opinion and consider this change illegal. Then I went to Vince Pinto (IPSC Secretary) indicating that dimension will not change other that aluminum pad thickness and his reply was: “Provided the original Tanfoglio aluminum base pad does not increase capacity, you can use them legally in IPSC Production Division”
Before I purchase costly pads. Please give your comments and confirm this change is acceptable in production division.
